Does anyone else here love this underrated Disney film? I just read The Prydain Chronicles, which the movie is based on, and it made me appreciate the movie that much more.

Also, who besides me thinks that after Kida, Eilonwy is the coolest Disney princess? Disney needs to recognize her (and Kida) more.

I saw it not long after watching ATLE. It is totally underated. I have almost bought the Prydain Chronicles, but I chose the Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies by Robin Hobb instead.

I did hear that the author of the Prydain Chronicles wasn't overly impressed with the film. But non-the less, Eilonwy & Kida should be recognised as Disney Princesses.

And it just so happens, The Black Cauldren helped me set up a naming convention for my Role Playing characters (I play games similar to D&D, while not being a big fan of D&D myself). My favorate character is called Eilonthyr and he is the most kick-butt assassin to ever stroll the galaxy. And now I will stop myself before I go into a frenzy over having a kill whipped from me.

Disclaimer: I'm not wierd, and thats the truth

WHAT-EV-ER, LLOYD. I wasn't overly impressed with the fact that the ending of the series was a total rip-off of Lord of the Rings. I really don't give a darn what HE thinks.

(That wasn't intended to be me chewing YOU out, Sappmer--that was just a general comment about the author of the books)

I actually thought they did a really good job synthesizing the plot of several books and combining them into one film that actually made sense, while still retaining so many small elements from the books (ex: Fflewdur always yelling "Great Belin!" or the fact that Orgoch had her hood and Orwen had her necklace, so forth) that people might not catch had they never read the books.

That was my same response to the Author when I read that comment the first time.

*doing an Eric Cartman impression*
awe guys don't get all pissy....

Keep in mind, re-using ideas makes THEM money! they like to rip off timeless classices, such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Re-doing Disney movies and making shitty sequels. ect.
