Crystal Necklaces

#1 Post by Sparky » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:06 am

I bulk-ordered some glowing blue crystal pendants and have begun wrapping the cords to make them look like leather to make my own ghetto Atlantean crystal necklaces. :) You can see one here: CLICK I think they look neat. :)

Ohh, I have that exact necklace, but I didn't put the leather around it! That's a good idea!

Well I posted a link to the image on DA which contained a link to my etsy shop. ;) That was the only one I had up, I'll have to wrap another one if I want to sell more.

I knew that was you Pharoah. ;) I made you a freebie btw to send with your necklace, its like a beta of a new design so its not perfect. But its free. ;) Thanks for buying it, I wasn't sure anyone would want to pay $10 bucks for something like that. I hope you like it. (I like mine.)

I use a program to make the designs and then make them on a machine. :)

Aw, you're awesome. :) Yeah, I'm thinking of dipping/painting the cords in a vinyl-like, flexible brown coating instead of wrapping them, they'd be more durable and look more like leather. I'll check the craft stores for something like that.

The "dipped" necklaces seem to work well, however the one wrapped one that I have has kinda fallen apart. :/ Pharaoh if your necklace's wrappings falls off let me know and I'll send you a dipped one as a replacement. The glue just doesn't hold and I can't seem to find one that will (hot glue holds but makes a mess and doesn't look nice).

Yeah it started too, but it's nothing to huge, (it's falling off around the ends and in other places) If you want to send your next model, go ahead :D i'll Beta-Test for ya :D
