About Hay Lin (animation)
Hay Lin is definitely the sweetest of the girls on the show, by far. She's optimistic, and tends to see the best in people; she even thinks Blunk is cute! While the other girls are sarcastic and cynical, Hay Lin is genuine, and usually enjoys herself in situations that make the other girls cringe (such as school functions). She has a good relationship with her parents, who own a Chinese Restaurant, and with her paternal grandmother, who lives with Hay Lin and her parents. Hay Lin's grandma, Yan Lin, was a member of the original Guardians of the Veil, and serves as a mentor to the current Guardians.
Hay Lin has power over air, and can control wind. She also enjoys flying more than the other girls in the group, although this is mentioned less in the series than in the comics (in the comics, Hay Lin is the only one who can use her wings).
