Everything About...
The boy: Percival Ignatius Weasley (played in the films by Chris Rankin) is the third oldest of the seven Weasley children. In his fifth and sixth year was a school Prefect; in his seventh and final year, was Head Boy. After graduation, he got a job with the Ministry of Magic as assistant to Barty Crouch, head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. Usually made fun of by his siblings for being stuck up and prissy, Percy is a big fan of the rules and a bit snobbish. On the other hand, his ridiculous smugness leads to a lot of comic relief in the books: for instance, the way he freaks out when Fred and George enchant his Head Boy badge to say "Bighead Boy," or when he thinks Ron dripped tea on his photo of Penny.

The girl: Penelope Clearwater (played in the films by Gemma Padley) is a character about which little is known. What we do know is that she is in Ravenclaw House, and is in the year behind Percy. In her fifth and sixth year she was a school Prefect, though we don't know about her seventh year because she wasn't mentioned in the fourth book. We know she's a Muggle-born because the Baslisk attacked her along with Hermione Granger in the second book. She was Percy's girlfriend in his sixth and seventh year, and he spent the entire summer before his sixth year writing to her, so it's possible that she was his girlfriend starting from the end of his fifth year, too. They were meeting in secret and no one knew about their relationship until Ginny walked in on them making out in an empty classroom.

The couple: P/P is a ship that doesn't receive a lot of attention in the Harry Potter fandom. The reasons for this are various: for one thing, Percy isn't the most popular character these days thanks to his attitude problem in Book 5. Secondly, Penelope Clearwater is an exceptionally minor character and very little is known about her. However, the lack of focus this pairing gets is part of its charm. As we have all learned, Percy Weasley isn't the easiest person to get along with, but he and Penny were together for at least two years (if not longer; a break-up was never mentioned in the books). What exactly drew these two together, and kept them together? Although these questions may never be officially answered, they are great topics for fandom discussion.

The site: Why make this fanlisting? Well, P/P has always been one of my favorite HP ships, and I noticed that, through the years, it has rarely had a dedicated fanlisting. I decided to start this site in order to properly represent the fandom. I also am a big fan of the OBHWF, and I love how P/P fits into that fandom. The site is called "Sincerely" for two reasons; both because Percy and Penny always wrote each other letters during summer break, and also because their relationship seems very sincere.

The fanlistings: Some of you may be curious as to what exactly a fanlisting is. The basic definition, from TheFanlistings, is a list of fans of a certain thing from all over the world. The goal of this fanlisting is to form friendships between very different people from very different places through their common fandom of the relationship of Percy Weasley and Penelope Clearwater from the Harry Potter series.
